Payment

To confirm your class or a spot in a group, payment is required in advance for two months of classes, payable by check or credit card. Your payment must be received at least five days before the beginning of the course.

Payments for subsequent levels must be received at least five days before the first class of each period.

FIRST CLASS GUARANTEE

If after the first class you decide not to continue with the classes, your initial two-month payment will be refunded and you will not be charged for the first class. You will need to cancel by e-mail within 24 hours after attending the first class.

REMAINING CLASSES REFUNDED IF YOU LEAVE DURING THE FIRST MONTH

If you should decide, for whatever reason, to leave your Spanish course during the first month of each two-month payment period, you will receive your money back corresponding to the number of remaining classes.*

There are no refunds if you or your group leave the course during the second month of each two-month payment period.

*There are refunds as a group for companies and friends groups. There are no individual refunds for students enrolled in group classes at companies, organizations or in groups of friends classes.

To Cancel a Class

For companies, organizations, individual classes and friends groups, students who miss a class must notify the tutor at least 24 hours in advance in order to reschedule. If you cancel a class with less than 24 hours notice, there are no refunds or the possibility to reschedule. Rescheduled classes must take place before the end of the current payment period. Otherwise, participants will lose the opportunity to reschedule and payment will not be refunded (exception - if it is snowing, we will always reschedule the class).

Duration of the Class

Each hour of class includes five minutes of break time. So, you will have 55 minutes of class. For classes of more than two hours, longer breaks will be needed.

Holidays and Vacations

Classes may be held on holidays if the tutor and student agree. Otherwise, you may reschedule your class or your pre-payment period may be extended accordingly.

If you or your tutor are going on vacation, classes may be rescheduled or your pre-payment period may be extended accordingly.

Change of Tutor

If it is your preference, we will make every attempt to assign the same tutor to you or your group. However, sometimes for various reasons, we may need to assign another tutor to you or your class.

Exams

We can help you prepare for your exams or tests, but we cannot guarantee that you will pass.

More about Open / Enrollment Group Classes

Spanish Tutor DC will form new open enrollment groups, up to a maximum of four students, when at least three people have confirmed enrollment. For that reason, an open enrollment group’s classes may not start begin away and we would not be able to guarantee an exact start date. If, while you’re waiting for the open enrollment group to be formed, you are unable or unwilling to continue to wait, you will be entitled to a full refund of your initial two-month pre-payment.

Please be on time to your class and do your homework in order to integrate into the normal rhythm of the classes.
