Spanish Seminars in DC. January 2012
Spanish Tutor DC offers focused topic seminars to sharpen your Spanish skills.

In the classroom, we will utilize various techniques to engage students to actively speak and listen in class. There are no formal exams or written assessment rather the student’s production and linguistic fluency will be evaluated throughout each lesson. The instructor will focus on the application of the structures of the Spanish language through speaking and listening. Sign up now and find out what our students are raving about!
Small class sizes
Enrollment limited to no more than seven people. More than seven participants and you will not receive a class, you get a lecture.

Downtown DC. 1050 17th Street, 10th Floor, Suite 1000, Washington DC 20036 (Adjacent to the Farragut North Metro Station on the Red Line).

One class, one & a half or two hours
Price
$15 for students not currently enrolled in any of our regular courses ($20 for 2 friends)
$10 for students previously enrolled in the Spanish Tutor DC Program within the past two years ($5 off when you bring a friend)

- Thursday, January 12th from 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm
General review for almost complete beginners. (Prerequisite at least two months of classes).
- Noun/adjective agreement “la mesa es blanca”, “las mesas son blancas”.
- Verbs “ser” and “estar”.
- Pronuntiation. Vowels, v & b, r, h, ñ.
- Days of the week, numbers.
- Possesive adjectives (mi casa, tu libro, su cuaderno).
- Possesion-relationship with “de”. “El teléfono de Juan”, “soy de México”.
- Present tense regular verbs (hablar, leer, vivir).
- ¿Dónde? ¿Cuándo? ¿Por qué?
- Common mistakes: la problema, mi computadora trabaja bien, perdón, soy tarde, etc.
- Verbo “haber”. ¿Cuántos libros hay en la mesa?

2.2 ¿Vas a prestarle $100 a Juan? No voy a prestárselos a Juan porque se los voy a prestar a Pedro.
