Payment
To confirm your class or a spot in a group, payment is required in advance for two months of classes, payable by check or credit or debit card. To reserve your spot in the class, payment must be received at least four business days in advance prior to the beginning of the course.

Payments for subsequent levels must be received at least five days before the first class of each period.
Money Back Guarantee
FIRST CLASS GUARANTEE
If after the first class you decide not to continue with the classes, your initial two-month payment will be refunded and you will not be charged for the first class. You will need to cancel by e-mail within 24 hours after attending the first class.
REMAINING CLASSES REFUNDED IF YOU LEAVE AFTER THE SECOND CLASS
If you should decide, for whatever reason, to leave your Spanish course after the second class, you will receive your money back corresponding to the number of remaining classes. You must send us an e-mail or call us within 24 hours after attending the second class.*
ONE YEAR OF CREDIT
If for whatever reason you need to leave classes before the third class, we will keep your credit for remaining classes for one whole year.
*There are refunds as a group for companies and friends groups. There are no individual refunds for students enrolled in group classes for companies, organizations or groups of friends classes.
To Cancel a Class
For companies, organizations, individual classes and friends groups, students who miss a class must notify the tutor at least 24 hours in advance in order to reschedule. If you cancel a class with less than 24 hours notice, there are no refunds or the possibility to reschedule the class. (Exception — Spanish Tutor DC follows the Federal Government’s closing policies during severe weather days. In the event the Federal Government announces it is closed, Spanish Tutor DC will offer to students the option to cancel the class, and then reschedule). Rescheduled classes do not necessarily need to take place before the end of the current payment period. You can have your class the same week or just skip it and extend your course accordingly.
TO CANCEL A CLASS IN AN ENROLLMENT GROUP CLASS
We are frequently asked these questions: Is it worth it to start an 8 week course in a group if I am going to be on vacation two weeks? What happens if I need to travel because of my job? How about if I get a cold the day of the class and cannot attend? Is there a way to avoid losing out on these classes and the money? The answer is yes.
Spanish Tutor DC offers great advantages and flexibility. If you cannot attend your class one or more weeks, you can likely attend another class at a similar level instead. You will not be at the exact level, nor have the same homework, etc. in the second class, but the important thing is to keep practicing. The only thing you need to remember is to send an e-mail before the class to your tutor or the school. Also, you must take the make-up classes before your current course of two month classes ends.
Duration of the Class
Each hour of class includes five minutes of break time, so you will have 55 minutes of class. For classes of more than two hours, longer breaks will be needed.
Holidays and Vacations
Classes may be held on holidays if the tutor and student agree. Otherwise, you may reschedule your class or your pre-payment period may be extended accordingly.
If you or your tutor is going on vacation, classes may be rescheduled or your pre-payment period may be extended accordingly. You could also have a substitute teacher while your regular tutor is on vacation, sick, etc.
Change of Tutor
If it is your preference, we will make every attempt to assign the same tutor to you or your group. However, sometimes for various reasons, we may need to assign another tutor to you or your class.
Exams
We can help you prepare for your exams or tests, but we cannot guarantee that you will pass.
